to be auctioned for charity
Items of gold jewellery
are set to be auctioned in a bid to raise money for an Aids charity, it has been
revealed.
Stolichnaya today announced the official auction date of the Stolichnaya elit
Collection which comprises of four original pieces designed by Penny Preville.
The live auction will be conducted by Andrea Fiuczynski, president of
Christie's, with all proceeds going to Design Industries Foundation Fighting
Aids (DIFFA), a funder of HIV/Aids service and education programmes in the US.
"We are thrilled to donate 100 per cent of the profits from these priceless
pieces to DIFFA, a charity that has mobilised some of the leading names in the
design community to fight for this worthy cause," commented Suzy Kilgore, brand
director for Stolichnaya at Pernod Ricard.
The gold items to be auctioned include elit cuff bracelet made of 18-carat gold
and diamonds, elit clip-on pendant with signature chain made of 18 carat-gold
and diamonds incorporating the designer's unique styling of flowers in addition
to a set of gold cuff links and earrings.
