$12k gold necklace donated to hospital
A unique piece of gold
jewellery has been donated to US hospital ahead of a charity auction to help
raise funds for breast cancer research and equipment.
Woodlands Online reports that jeweller Dannini has donated the $12,000 (£6,000)
one-of-a-kind piece of neckwear to the Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital.
The pink sapphires, white diamond and aquamarines 18-carat white gold necklace
is to be auctioned for the In the Pink charity event on September 21st, the
proceeds of which will go towards funding thermal imaging mammograms for women
at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands' Breast and Bone Health Centre.
"This is one of my favourite pieces and I feel blessed to be able to help such a
wonderful charity reach its fundraising goals", Jeri Slater, president of
Dannini told Woodlands.
Funds will also go towards providing the centre with educational materials and
equipment.
Included in the Dannini range is the Jarretiere collection, made of fine Italian
gold created in flexible bands.
